AI visibility tools compared
Most AI visibility products are monthly monitoring subscriptions: they watch how AI assistants describe your brand and chart it over time. The published entry prices we could find are Otterly.ai from $29 a month, AthenaHQ at $295 a month with a free starting tier, and HubSpot's paid tier at $50 a month. HubSpot also runs a free grader that states no account is required. Nymrel is not a monitoring subscription. Our scan is free with no email, and the paid work is a one-time audit plus the fixes carried out for you. If what you want is a dashboard that keeps watching, buy one of theirs.
Prices below are the ones published on each vendor's own pages on the date given. Several publish nothing and route to a demo, which is recorded as not published rather than treated as expensive. Nymrel has not subscribed to any of these products and is not rating their accuracy.
The alternatives, one by one
- Brands with a platform budget. The homepage carries a large enterprise logo bar.
Profound
A platform for monitoring and improving how brands appear across AI answer engines.
- Published price
- Not published. Access runs through a demo or login.
- Better than Nymrel when
- You need continuous coverage across many engines and prompts with a team to act on it. Profound is the most cited product in this category and Nymrel is not competing with it on monitoring.
- Where Nymrel differs
- Nymrel sells a fixed-price audit and the repair work, not an ongoing seat.
- What we saw on the page
- Free brand report offered on the homepage. No dollar figure on the page we fetched.
- Small marketing teams upward.
Otterly.ai
A monitoring tool that tracks brand mentions and citations across AI search engines.
- Published price
- Published: their FAQ states pricing starts at $29 a month. A seven-day trial is offered without a card.
- Better than Nymrel when
- You want the cheapest continuous monitoring you can buy and you will read the dashboard yourself. At $29 a month this is the lowest published entry price we found anywhere in the category.
- Where Nymrel differs
- Nymrel does not chart your position week to week. We check the technical signals once and fix them.
- What we saw on the page
- Free tools published at a separate subdomain. Customer logos include Opera and Avis Budget Group.
- Marketing teams tracking a competitive set.
Peec AI
AI search analytics aimed at marketing teams, including competitor positions.
- Published price
- Not published. A trial requires signup.
- Better than Nymrel when
- You care most about where you sit against named competitors over time.
- Where Nymrel differs
- Nymrel reports on your own site's readiness, not on a competitive league table.
- What we saw on the page
- Site claims more than 3,000 brands and agencies. Comparison pages published against three rivals.
- Anyone, and HubSpot customers in particular.
HubSpot AI Search Grader
A free one-time check of how AI assistants describe a brand, feeding a paid HubSpot product.
- Published price
- The grader is free and the page states no account is required. The paid tier is published at $50 a month.
- Better than Nymrel when
- You want a free first look from a company you already know, or you are already inside HubSpot. Start here before paying anyone, including us.
- Where Nymrel differs
- Nymrel's free scan checks the technical signals on your site rather than grading brand sentiment, so the two answer different questions.
- What we saw on the page
- The page title itself states the check is free with no account required.
- Established brands. Named customers include Lenovo, Skims, and Crunchbase.
Scrunch AI
A platform for monitoring brand appearance across AI assistants and improving the content behind it.
- Published price
- Not published. A seven-day trial requires signup.
- Better than Nymrel when
- You are a recognised brand already being described by assistants and need to manage that continuously.
- Where Nymrel differs
- Nymrel's buyers are usually not described by assistants at all yet, which is a different problem.
- What we saw on the page
- Customer logos on the homepage. The scrunch.ai domain does not resolve; the live site is scrunch.com.
- Mid-market and enterprise marketing teams.
AthenaHQ
A visibility tracking platform with recommendations for improving how assistants mention a brand.
- Published price
- Published: a free tier with a $25 credit, a $295 a month tier, and custom enterprise pricing.
- Better than Nymrel when
- You want to try a real platform for nothing before committing. Their free tier requires a signup but no payment.
- Where Nymrel differs
- Nymrel's free scan requires no signup at all, and the paid step is a one-time audit rather than a monthly seat.
- What we saw on the page
- Pricing cards published on the homepage. Comparison pages published against five named rivals.
How to read this
- These are subscriptions for watching. Nymrel sells a check and a repair. If your problem is that you do not know your position, a subscription is the right purchase and several above are cheap.
- If your problem is that assistants cannot read your site properly, a monitoring dashboard will describe the problem every week without fixing it. That is the work Nymrel does.
- Run the free options first. HubSpot's grader needs no account, AthenaHQ has a free tier, and the Nymrel scan needs no email. Three free checks is a reasonable way to decide whether to pay anyone.
